Welcome to the Cornwall Search and Rescue Team website.

Cornwall SRT is a registered charity that provides a search and rescue service across inland Cornwall for missing and injured people 24/7. Dealing with up to 60 incidents a year, we're one of the busiest teams of our kind in Southern England.

Our call outs are throughout Cornwall - from Bodmin Moor through to town and countryside areas.

Here you will find pages of information and latest news all about us and how you can help to support our vital work.
In response to requests for more information about the team, we have enhanced the 'About Us' section. Click on that page and check out all the links in the box on the right hand side.
You can also contact the team (see contacts page for details) and be sure to browse our image gallery.

And for a special treat, be sure to check out this YouTube footage of the team training with Rescue 169 from RAF Chivenor up on Bodmin Moor last summer.

Funding News

Some good news for the team this week. We have received a cheque from the Woodroffe Benton Foundation for £500 for the purchase of water safety equipment. This will be used to purchase additional equipment to protect team members when working around water.

We also recieved confirmation that the Pirate Trust are to make a donation of £1000 towards the purchase of helmets for each team member. These are required for working at height or when working in or around military helicopters.

We are very grateful to both trusts for supporting our life-saving work and thank them sincerely..

[9] - Saltash, Search

Sunday 7th February 2010

We were called on the wrong side of dawn to Saltash to assist in the search for a missing lady. We asked colleagues from DSRT - Plymouth to join us and headed for the Police Station in Saltash. When we got there we were given the good news that the lady had been located so we all went home again.
