Charity walk for team search dogs

A big thank you to Lucilla and Charlie Cox who smashed their £350 fundraising target during their 200 mile Coast to Coast walk from St Bees Head on the west coast of Cumbria, to Robin Hood's Bay on the east coast in Yorkshire. The total amount raised was an amazing £717.21, and this has been donated to support the work of our search and rescue dog team and help to develop new dog handlers in the future.

These air scenting dogs take about two years to fully train, but once operational can cover the ground of 20 human searchers, saving dozens of lives throughout the UK each year.

The team is extremely grateful for this fantastic donation and hopes they didn’t get too many blisters!
