Congratulations to Matt Robertson who will be receiving an MBE for his contribution to developing the use of dogs in policing and mountain rescue work.

Matt is a police dog handler with the Ministry of Defence police at Devonport and he is also a dog handler with the Search and Rescue Dog Association. His current search dog Scoot is one of the five dog teams with Dartmoor - SRT Tavistock, along with the three other dog teams across the region on Exmoor, Plymouth and our own search dog and handler team - Shaun and his dog Tigger.

Matt has used he vast experience to train and assess search and rescue dogs from across the country and he has become a welcome and familiar face on our call outs.
