999 Emergency Services day at the Eden Project

Cornwall Search and Rescue Team will be at the Mid Cornwall 999 event at the Eden Project on Saturday 19th June 2010 in the Lemon car park.
There is free entry to the event which will have a whole host of Cornish emergency services present. Kids "big" and small are welcome to come along which will run from 10am til 4pm, and all proceeds raised from the event programme which will be on sale, will this year go to Cornwall Search and Rescue Team.

| Team nominated for Saints Award |
Cornwall Search and Rescue Team is proud to have been shortlisted to the final three community groups for the Saints Award. Saint Awards Presentation Night" style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-right: 15px;" /> The Saints Awards recognises people and groups living and working within the PL22 to PL26 postcode who make St Austell and its surrounding areas special. The team, which is based in St Dennis has been nominated in the Community Groups category - which celebrates the contribution to the local community by an organisation.
CSRT which is a registered charity, responds to call outs from the police, fire and ambulance services across the county for missing and injured people, last year being called to 39 incidents. Since being founded in 2003, the team has been called to around 380 incidents, ranging from missing children to major weather events.
