Team members have completed three days of searching for a young man missing from the Launceston area. Along with collegues from Dartmoor Okehampton & Tavistock sections and several SARDA search dogs, large areas of woodland, fields, rivers and scrub have been searched over Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
On Tuesday 2nd Feb the sad discovery was made of the body of a man in the town, Our sympathies are with his friends and family at this time.

Cornwall Search and Rescue Team is proud to have been shortlisted to the final three community groups for the Saints Award. Saint Awards Presentation Night" style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-right: 15px;" /> The Saints Awards recognises people and groups living and working within the PL22 to PL26 postcode who make St Austell and its surrounding areas special. The team, which is based in St Dennis has been nominated in the Community Groups category - which celebrates the contribution to the local community by an organisation.
CSRT which is a registered charity, responds to call outs from the police, fire and ambulance services across the county for missing and injured people, last year being called to 39 incidents. Since being founded in 2003, the team has been called to around 380 incidents, ranging from missing children to major weather events.
