The team were called to search for a missing 74 year old male on holiday in the area. Suffering from mild dementia, there were serious concerns for his welfare, and Penzance and Lands End coastguard teams, a police dog handler and Rescue 193 from RNAS Culdrose were also called in to search.

Having gone missing at around 12:30 hrs, he was spotted by a police patrol at around 18:15 hrs in Newlyn cold but otherwise okay, having walked the seven miles overland back towards his accommodation
